Firefighters were suddenly ordered out of this 88-year-old firehouse in Yonkers, New York. One of the biggest issues, according to WCBS-TV, is water intrusion on the third and fourth floors that has saturated the walls and caused stability issues. My guess from seeing stories in various cities is this isn’t the worst firehouse in the country. How many crumbling firehouses worse than this one aren’t being condemned and are still operating? Feel free to share your horror stories.
